Vina del Mar is a beach town in Central Chile. About an hour's drive from Santiago, it is a popular spot for Chilean weekenders. Forest fires plagued the area when this photograph was taken, creating a cloud of ash that hovered over the Pacific Ocean and made for a spectacular sunset.
