Camille Roman
; MA Boston College, PhD Brown University, is one of the editors of THE NEW ANTHOLOGY OF AMERICAN POETRY, a three-volume revisionist history of the nation’s poetry from Rutgers University Press. The first volume, titled TRADITIONS AND REVOLUTIONS: BEGINNINGS TO 1900, was selected for the Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award 2003. Volume two, MODERNISMS 1900-1950, was published March 2005. Roman is associate professor of English, American Studies, Women’s Studies, and the Honors College at Washington State University and resides in Portland, Oregon. She has published 12 books, most recently a paperback edition of ELIZABETH BISHOP’S WORLD WAR II-COLD WAR VIEW about the life and work of the national poet laureate in 1949-1950. Roman and her book were honored at a reception at the Library of Congress on the fiftieth anniversary of Bishop’s laureateship. Roman’s earlier text THE WOMEN & LANGUAGE DEBATE was selected as a required core text for gender and language collections by the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) and as one of the major interdisciplinary texts in women’s studies by the New York Public Research Libraries.

Margaret Dubay Mikus
is the author of As Easy as Breathing: Reclaiming Power for Healing and Transformation – Poems, Letters and Inner Listening, (2002, Writers Club Press. It is available in a revised edition. She also uses poems from her book when she teaches her workshops, Expanding Our Possibilities of Full Blooming (TM).

Jerold Lax
, a partner in the Ann Arbor office of the law firm Bodman LLP, received the Washtenaw County Bar Association’s “Professionalism and Civility in the Practice of Law Award” for 2005 at the Association’s Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 26, 2005. Lax concentrates his practice in matters involving municipal and zoning law, employment law and litigation. He has served as city attorney for the City of Ann Arbor and is Professor Emeritus of Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. He is active with a variety of civic and charitable organizations within the Ann Arbor area.

Chris Younghoon Kim
MM 1998 has recently married Kay Kyurim Rhie. He has been named director of orchestras at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He continues his role as artistic director of Brave New Works, a new music ensemble based in Ann Arbor and also as principal conductor of Kalistos Chamber Orchestra, a professional string orchestra based in Boston.

Terrence Shulman
is a practicing attorney and therapist specializing in helping persons with chronic theft offenses and behaviors. He was on the Oprah Winfrey Show in Sept. 2004 “sharing about my work and my book Something for Nothing: Shoplifting Addiction and Recovery. He is also finishing a book on employee theft and sponsoring a conference in the Fall in Detroit Sept. 30-Oct. 2–The First International Conference on Theft Addictions and Disorders. Pam Sjo
has lived in Ann Arbor since 1972. She currently works for the Charles Reinhart Company Realtors in Ann Arbor, where she earned a top sales award in 2003. Sjo earned a degree in digital electronics after attending U-M and worked for a number of local companies in customer service and trouble shooting. She also owned her own home repair buisnesss where she learned a great deal about real estate from the homeowner’s perspective. Her hobbies include long distance road biking and involvement in local environmental issues.

Avram & Ginger Derrow
were married at the Michigan League on November 21, 2004. They met as sousaphone players in the Michigan Marching Band in the fall of 1998.

Megan Marsanico-Byrne
is currently working for the American Cancer Society and looking to get a team of Michigan alumni to walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. If anyone is interested in heading it up or participating in the event call me at work at 212-237-3891.

JuQuan Williams
has recently released his debut novel, The Leopard Man through Publish America. It is the tale of a teenage girl who encounters a suspicious substitute teacher.
Anne Mallory, author of Marquerading the Marques, calls the book “An inspirational story…An excellent debut for Quan Williams.”
