During a weeklong residency hosted by UMS, the Pulitzer-winning composer joined student musicians from Germany’s Karajan-Akademie of the Berliner Philharmoniker and U-M’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance as they became a cohesive — and active — international ensemble.
